About Coronado HOSA
Coronado HOSA was founded in December 2010. It started small, with only seven members. The first few months consisted of fundraising to attend and compete at the State Leadership Conference in Sacramento in May 2011. Two members placed in the top ten during the Sports Medicine Competition at SLC that year. Coronado's HOSA chapter continued to grow in 2011, expanding to a membership of fourteen. Seven members attended the State Leadership Conference in Irvine in April 2012. One member placed fourth overall in Sports Medicine, and two members competed in CPR/First Aid. As of October 2012, Coronado's HOSA chapter has twenty nine members in all four grade levels, and plans to have students competing for the first time in Biotechnology.
